Elisha Pearl : ウィキペディア英語版 | Elisha Pearl Elisha Pearl (March 7, 1819 – November 20, 1896) was an American farmer from Lisbon, Wisconsin who served one term as a Free Soil Party member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from Waukesha County, Wisconsin.〔("Members of the Wisconsin Legislature 1848–1999 State of Wisconsin Legislative Bureau. Information Bulletin 99-1, September 1999. p. 92 )〕 == Background == Pearl was born March 7, 1819 in Ashford, Connecticut. He first came to what was then the Wisconsin Territory in 1839, returned to Connecticut, came back and settled near Merton in Waukesha County. He returned to Connecticut once more, where he married Sarah Trowbridge (a fellow native of Ashford), and the two of them came to Wisconsin in 1844 to stay on the farm he had established in Lisbon.
